Getting Started

A synopsis of what contributors do, how you’ll shape BlossomDB, and the essentials you need to know to get started

Role of Contributors

Contributors are the backbone of BlossomDB. They are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and quality of user-generated content across the platform. Their contributions includes:

  • Item Listings: Creating, editing, and updating item entries to ensure the database stays reliable.

  • Community Guides: Writing and publishing helpful guides for players, ranging from beginner tips to advanced strategies.

  • Content Accuracy: Verifying information, correcting mistakes, and keeping BlossomDB aligned with the most up-to-date server details.

Contributors are empowered with tools that make it easier to manage content effectively, ensuring the database grows in both depth and reliability.

Your First Edit

As outlined in Leveling & Progression, your first edits will work a little differently. From levels 1–5, you’ll have access to contributor tools, but all edits—whether creating or updating items or guides—must be submitted for review by our Quality Control team. This ensures accuracy and helps you get familiar with our standards.

Once you reach level 6, you’ll gain full access to your contributor tools. At this stage, you can publish item changes and create new guides without requiring prior review, streamlining your contributions.

To safeguard the integrity of the platform, we’ve implemented LLM-powered moderation (via OpenAI) beyond level 6. This system automatically flags and blocks inappropriate or harmful content, ensuring BlossomDB remains a safe and trustworthy resource for the community.
